Do you handle both armed and unarmed work in Dawson City?

The vast majority of our Dawson City deployments are unarmed licensed officers, which meets almost every commercial, residential, and event use case. Armed work (when legally permissible) is available for specific high-risk executive protection details on written request.

What insurance do you carry for Dawson City work?

Guardian Shield maintains $25M General Liability, provincial WSIB/WCB compliance, and site-specific certificate delivery on demand — often within the same business day for Dawson City clients.

Can you cover multiple Dawson City sites under one contract?

Yes. Multi-site portfolios in Dawson City are managed by a single account manager, with consolidated occurrence reports, one invoice, and one 24/7 point of contact for escalations across every site you operate.

Do you provide bilingual officers in Dawson City?

Bilingual (EN/FR) staffing is available in every market. Additional languages are recruited to demand — Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog and others are represented in our Dawson City officer roster where client sites need them.

What's the fastest you can start a contract in Dawson City?

For standard commercial or residential work in Dawson City, we can typically place officers on-site within 48–72 hours of a signed proposal. Emergency deployments (fire watch, sudden vacancy of an existing agency) can be same-day, subject to shift availability.

Security in Dawson City.

Security in Dawson City is not the same as security in Whitehorse. The klondike heritage character of this Yukon community demands officers who understand the local rhythm — the shift changes at the industrial park, the after-hours restaurant crowd, the school-zone hours. Guardian Shield staffs Dawson City with locally-recruited teams.

§ Local Approach

How we work in Dawson City.

Our Dawson City clients tell us the difference is response velocity. When a break-and-enter alarm activates at 2:47 a.m., our closest patrol vehicle is dispatched — not the closest office. Sub-10 minute urban response is the standard, not the goal.

Because Dawson City is a klondike heritage community, our officers are trained on both the visible-deterrent posture (for retail plazas and construction sites) and the hospitality-first posture (for residential towers and hotels). One team, two playbooks.

Our two most-requested Dawson City service lines are alarm response and cannabis / dispensary security — deployed across commercial, residential and industrial sites throughout the Yukon region.
