Mining Security

Remote, rugged, radio-linked — protection for the North.

§ Overview

What this covers

Mining security is a logistics problem before it's a security problem. Guardian Shield supplies FIFO / DIDO rotations to sites across Ontario's Ring of Fire, BC's Golden Triangle, the Yukon, NWT, and Nunavut. Our officers are trained in bear-safety, remote first aid, and satellite communications.

We support gate access, camp management, high-value ore logistics, and site inductions. Every supervisor on a mining rotation has at least three years of Northern site experience.

Fly-in / drive-in remote-site security, camp management support, and site-access control for mines and exploration camps.

§ Our Process

From walkthrough to first shift.

Every mining security deployment follows the same four-step engagement — no short-cuts, no template quotes, no officer placed on a site they've never walked.

01
Discovery walkthrough

A regional supervisor visits your site, interviews stakeholders, and documents current pain points, existing systems, and shift patterns.

02
SOP design

We draft a site-specific Standard Operating Procedure — post orders, escalation ladder, uniform posture, reporting cadence — and review it with your team before deployment.

03
Officer selection

Officers are hand-picked from our regional roster based on skill fit, language requirements, and prior experience with your industry. No random assignments.

04
Deployment & audit

Coverage begins on the agreed date, with the first two weeks audited by the regional supervisor. We course-correct in real time — not at a quarterly review.
